Werkstatt 26 is a social and cultural meeting place at Pirnaer Str. 26 in Königstein. Readings, art and creative courses, parties and exhibitions take place in the gallery. In the co-working
space you can rent your own workspace with fast internet. Our team consists of many committed people from near and far. In Werkstatt 26, people from Königstein, the surrounding area and the whole
world can meet at eye level.
The gallery offers space for up to 60 people. If you would like to use a room for your own event or celebration, please contact us.
weltbewusst e.V. was founded in 2017 and is recognised as a non-profit organisation. The association is based in Gohrisch in Saxon Switzerland and works in the thematic fields of: 1. integrative work with a focus on socio-culture, 2. biography and dialogue work and 3. sustainability. Since 2019, the association has employed Königstein's (Saxony) municipal integration coordinator and runs Werkstatt 26, which with its exhibitions, events and courses is a lively place of encounter and exchange and was awarded the title of Place of Democracy in 2022. The association continues to develop formats of biography and dialogue work in cooperation with other organisations at various locations in eastern Germany and runs Living Libraries, Generation Dialogues and Biography Workshops.
